11 months!

I know I say this every month, but it is so hard to believe she's already 11 months old.  In one month she'll be a year.  I know that's obvious, but still hard to believe.  At 11 months Madeline is a little ball of energy:

• Finally got over her fear of the lake.  This took lots of diligence on my part--going to the beach at least once a week is tough work.  There was one week where we were at either the beach, pool, or splash pad every day (it was way too hot that week).  It's a lot of fun watching her giggle and splash in the water.  When I hold her horizontal she'll even kick her legs like she's swimming.  
• It still takes her a long time for her to warm up to new things and new people.
• Is not a huge fan of dogs.  We went to visit Sean's parents in Spokane and she screamed a scream I've never heard before when she saw Fritz for the first time.  By the end of the weekend she tolerated him, but still kept a respectful distance.
• Is starting to like more types of food, but is pretty much done with anything pureed.  She also insists on eating anything Sean or I eats.
• Has gotten really good at walking along the furniture, walls, etc. or with the help of us.  I still think it will be a while before she takes independent steps. 
• Has started to hide things.  The other day I saw her pick up the remote from the couch, walk with it to the other side, drop to the floor, crawl between the two couches, and then shove it as far as she could under the couch.  I find toys, books, etc. hidden all over the house.
• Normally yells instead of cries when she's upset.
• She has stood on her tip-toes for awhile, but she's upgraded by standing on the very tops of her toes--like she is wearing point shoes.
• Has so much energy.  And is so happy all the time.  And is so dang opinionated.  
• Thinks peek-a-boo is the funniest game on the planet. I love it when she tries to cover her own face, but only covers her mouth.  It's really cute.
