7 Months!

As of Sunday, our little pumpkin is 7 months old.  She has changed so much in the past month; where did my little baby go?
My failed attempt at putting the 7 month sign out of reach.
Here's some quick facts about our little girl:

Loves sitting with one leg behind her.
  • She hasn't had a doctor's appointment, but I know she's grown.  According to the bathroom scale, which I know isn't super accurate, she's 17 pounds.
  • Continues to use rolling as her preferred mode of transportation.  She figured out that it IS possible to roll in both directions, so she can get pretty much anywhere she wants.  She also is starting to scoot backwards and rock on her knees.
  • Insists on feeding herself with a spoon.  This makes meal times super clean...not.  Oh well, there are few times in life where it's acceptable to be covered with food from head to toe, so we're embracing it.  I normally just strip her down to her diaper so she's easier to clean.
  • Prefers vegetables to fruit, but will eat pretty much anything.
  • Has learned to scoot forward while sitting, but only while in the bathtub.  I think the lack of friction helps.  It's really funny to watch.
  • Doesn't like it when strangers sit in the backseat of the car with her.  She prefers her space while in her carseat.
  • LOVES swings.  We've been embracing the warm weather and going to the park a ton.
  • She has gotten very opinionated.  And is a master at fake crying.  She also fake coughs to get our attention.  It used to be really cute, but it's morphed into this hacking sound.
  • Loves to grab my face, especially my lips.
  • Gives kisses.  She used to just lick us when we kissed her, but now she gives real kisses--I love it.
  • Is finally sleeping well at night again (about 10 hours).  Except for last night.
  • Loves playing with metal mixing bowls.
  • Doesn't love playing with other babies.  She normally ignores them until they touch her.  Then she starts crying.

On a side note, if any one has any good interactive games/activities for babies this age--let me know!  I'm always looking for new ways to keep her entertained.

Fisher Price has some fun ideas that don't require much. Here is the link to their site. http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=30&e=playandlearn&ccat=play_and_learn
They have some fun ideas. And their actives don't require using their products which is nice.
