Wednesday after work we drove to Brigham City to spend time with Will and his family. The drive was uneventful and we got up there just in time to roast marshmallows in the fireplace with the kids. We ate dinner and I chatted with Andria as the kids jumped all over Sean (they like to refer to Sean as "Jungle Sean"--compare with a Jungle Gym to get the right mental image). A while after we got there Missy and Garrett pulled in from Idaho. We all hung out and prepared some of the food for the Thanksgiving feast we were having the next day. Sean and I stayed at Brigham City's finest--the Galaxie Motel. It was cheap, clean, and close. That's all we really need.Thursday morning Andria and I woke up early to run a Thanksgiving day charity run in Ogden. It was really cold and we almost didn't go, but we're glad that we did. It was put on by St. Anne's Catholic Church and the registration fee was a
canned food donation. It was supposed to be 5 miles, but because of severe ice it was cut down to 3.7 miles. It felt so good to run outside! Lately I've been running on the treadmill because it takes a lot of planning to run outside in this weather, but it felt so nice. It takes forever to get warmed up though. The picture is blurry, but it shows us before the race representing the great AK.
Thanksgiving dinner was fantastic. The food was excellent and we had a plethora of pies. We had so much fun with everyone. The picture below is Sean and me with the cutest kid on the block--Josh.
The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing, reading, doing homework, etc. I love it when we have breaks! I can barely contain my excitement for Christmas break; Sean will be done with school and I'm taking 2 full weeks off of work! Hooray!!
