About a month and a half ago I heard of a new race in Utah called "The Dirty Dash." I was intrigued so I went to their
website and realized that this was something I had to do. It is a 10K run/obstacle course through the mud. I tried to put a team together for the team division, but had trouble getting enough people excited about it. But, my lovely sister-in-law Jessie was all for it, so we decided to run it in the individual division. The race was sold out by the time we decided to do it, but we didn't give up. We stalked the Facebook fan page hoping someone would be selling their registration; sure enough, we were able to get in.

So, as Pam and Dave Busk (those were the people whose registration we bought) we ran the Dirty Dash. It was so much fun. It was at
Soldier Hollow (the cross country ski resort where the 2002 Olympics were held) and it was pretty hilly. The race was pretty much a party the whole time. Tons of people signed up (about 6000 total), so they had to do the race in waves. It was so fun; we jumped over hay bales, climbed over walls, went through tunnels, went through the nasty mud I've ever beheld, slid down the world's longest slip & slide, and crawled through a waist-deep mud pit. We were so gross at the end, but it was so much fun. There's going to be another Dirty Dash in May; if we're around I think I'm going to need to participate again.
